Leadership Development Coaching Programs

Intentional Leadership Coaching Program

Our Intentional Leadership Coaching program assists people to develop greater self-awareness, self-mastery and a clearer focus so they can become the leaders others want to follow.

Uniquely different to many other leadership programs, the Intentional Leadership program is linked to the real, day-to-day work of leadership in the current role. It focuses on work-related goals and priorities, helping people to become intentional in achieving these goals in context and become more effective in their role.

Program Structure

This is a 9-hour program (minimum), and if at the end of the program it is identified that there is an appetite to work on additional goals, the program can continue. 3 hours of coaching is required per goal. To achieve optimal outcomes we recommend the sessions are held at least 2 weeks apart..

Coaching Meeting #1 - Personality Type and Strengths - 2 hours

We use the MBTI, the world’s most widely used personality assessment to assist people to understand their preferred leadership, work, communication and problem-solving styles. This is a highly impactful session that highlights strengths and alignments to the leadership role, as well as underlines optimal areas for development.

Coaching Meeting #2 - Leadership Strengths and Blind Spots - 1.5 hours

We utilise the Intentional Leadership framework that encompasses 12 key leadership concerns to help leaders understand their natural styles, those they tend to overlook, and those which are most essential to reach specific goals. This builds on the self-awareness of personality type and strengths addressed in the first meeting.

Coaching Meeting #3 - Goal Setting and Prioritising - 1.5 hours

In this meeting we focus on choosing the right priorities to focus on specific to the client in question, who they are leading, their current realities, and where they need to go. A clear and intentional goal is established with 3 priority areas to focus on. A practical action plan is developed in context of the role to achieve this goal via the 3 priority areas.

Coaching Meeting #4 - 1 hour

We review the goal, priorities and outcomes of the actions taken: what worked, what didn’t work, what could be changed and/or improved. It ensures the new learning and leadership behaviours are embedded for long term positive impact.

Coaching Meetings #5 to #7 - 1 hour each

In these sessions we cycle back through the process outlined above in Meetings 2-4: we identify the next goal and 3 new priority areas as well as develop an accompanying action plan. We focus on coaching for skill development and accountability to outcomes.

New to Leadership – Achieve Success in Your First 90 Days

The first 90 days in a new role are crucial for leaders at all levels of an organisation. The new leader’s degree of success is largely dependent on the mindset they adopt and actions they take during this period.

Our coaching during the ‘onboarding’ process facilitates accelerated learning of the demands in the new role, effectively assisting new leaders to make a timely, and necessary shift in their thinking. It offers guidance on effective ways to acquire strategic knowledge about the organisation, clarifies expectations and challenges associated with the new role, creates a clear and strategic new leader mandate and orchestrates quick and high impact wins in the first 90 days to achieve business objectives

Program Structure

This is a 5-hour program (minimum), with ongoing coaching sessions by the hour available on request to address additional goals. To achieve optimal outcomes we recommend the sessions are held 2-4 weeks apart.

Session #1 - Personality Type and Strengths - 2 hours

We use the MBTI, the world’s most widely used personality assessment to assist people to understand their preferred leadership, work, communication and problem-solving styles. This is a highly impactful session that highlights strengths and alignments to the leadership role, as well as underlines optimal areas for development. Practical follow up tasks are set to apply what has been learned in the work context.

Session #2 - Focus areas for Development and Goal Setting - 1.5 hours

We review the homework tasks and outcomes as well as set goals for the focus areas of leadership skill development. We link the focus areas and goals to a strategy for achieving optimal results within 90 days; building capability around identified behaviours and strengths.

Session #3 - Goals and Outcomes Review - 1.5 hours

In this final session we analyse and assess the impact and outcomes of the new leadership skills and behaviours, and how they are contributing to achieving optimal results within the 90 days. A plan for ongoing implementation is developed as well as identifying any course corrections that may be advantageous in the longer term.

Ongoing Coaching - we recommend ongoing coaching sessions by the hour where individuals would like to address additional leadership goals.
